Yes — it's a large part of our Model Town work. Many houses here are 1960s and 70s kothis with strong original character but ageing services. We upgrade the wiring, plumbing, waterproofing and structure, and rework tired layouts, while keeping the verandahs, courtyards, ceiling heights and detailing that give these homes their identity. We survey the existing structure carefully before proposing anything.

It depends entirely on scope — a phased renovation of one floor, a full kothi overhaul and a fresh generational rebuild sit at very different budgets. Older homes here sometimes reveal hidden repair work once we open them up, so after a free consultation and a site survey we give you a transparent, itemised estimate with contingencies flagged honestly, rather than a flat rate card.

That's exactly the balance we design for. We open up cramped 1970s room divisions, add modern kitchens, bathrooms and storage, and bring in better light and services — but we plan around the original proportions and restore period detailing rather than stripping it out. Where a family lives on site, we phase the work so parts of the house stay usable throughout.
